All food is cooked to order using locally sourced meat, fish, shellfish, poultry & real free range eggs. Evening meals and packed lunches are also available - see details below. Bookings
You can check room availability on-line from the bookings page.
We are open during the winter months, except November, please phone for bookings over Christmas or New Year if you cannot book on line.
Facilities
Our sauna and hot tub will finally be available for the Spring season 2012. Work on our new extension is progressing at pace and now on schedule for completion towards the end of the year.
Meals
All evening meals are booked in advance, usually confirmed at breakfast on the day required.
Evening Meal
2 courses from £16.00 per person
3 courses from £24.00 per person
4 courses from £28.00 per person.
Meal costs are usually around £22.00 - £30.00 per person for 3 courses, depending on your main course order.
We get fresh fish, shellfish (including lobster), large & medium scallops, Orkney beef fillet on request, therefore our menu prices will reflect the market price at the time. Price for meals using higher cost produce is usually around £30.00 - £34.00 per person depending on your order.
Packed Lunch
Guests requiring a packed lunch - should advise Jim or Denise the day before it is required and will cost from £12.00 per person and include a flask of tea or coffee per person.
Meals can either be invoiced as you go or at the end of your stay. Guests are reminded that where a meal or food is ordered but not taken, this must be paid for as we are unable to accept late cancellations. We accept all major credit and debit cards, except AMEX. We are unable to accept cheques as the guarantee scheme has been withdrawn by the banks.
Boat Hire
Our aluminium boat can be used for loch or sea fishing close to shore. Boat hire includes outboard motor, fuel and guide - per 1/2 day, our boat can accommodate 2 people plus guide. Price includes fuel and transport to & from loch or landing area chosen, rods and tackle can also be supplied but you will need your own wet gear and suitable outdoor clothing.
Half Day - all inclusive £65.00 (4-6 hours)
Fishing by boat is subject to favourable weather conditions. We can arrange a guide and boat through Alan Shearer, an experienced fly fisher on Orkney.
Cancellations must be advised the night before or full cost will be payable.
NB: Loch fishing is only available during the trout fishing season 15th March - 6th October.
