How to find Castlehill, Evie, Orkney
The journey from Stromness to Evie is faily straight forward across the island, though you will benefit from the additional map that kind be found by following the link below. The house is a good distance away from the main road!

The map shows the location of the house and assumes arrival by ferry at Stromness. The journey is fairly straight forward follow the signs to Birsay, Dounby and Evie. Turn left at the road end. Turn left and watch for the sign to the RSPB, Burger Hill. (Junction with A966) Take the road past the farm LHS and past the second farm to the road end at T junction. Turn left and follow the short track around the field (250mtrs) & the house is 1st left. Journey time 25 mins.
From Kirkwall, Take A965 follow signs to Finstown & Stromness. At Finstown take the A966 to Evie, carry on to RSPB sign for Burger Hill – turn left & follow road past second farm to end, at T junction, turn left follow track around field and house is 1st on left. Distance 16.6 miles, 25 mins approx.
Some advice on using postcodes & GPS systems in the Orkney countryside.
GPS, using the postcode, will only get you within a mile or two of the B&B. This because the UK postcode system works on groups of 50-70 households per postcode and houses are not numbered e.g 1 Castlehill, Evie.
